You can delete your Talvo account yourself, at any time, directly from the app — no email, no form, no waiting. This page walks you through the four steps.
Deleting your account permanently removes your account and all associated data: transactions, accounts, budgets, categories and rules. This cannot be undone.
Only want to get rid of some of your data? You don't have to delete your whole account — see deleting only part of your data.
The Delete account section looks like this:
Permanently delete your account and all associated data — transactions, accounts, budgets, categories, and rules. This cannot be undone.

When you confirm the deletion, we immediately and permanently remove the following from our production databases:
Data held in encrypted backups may persist for up to 30 days after deletion before it is permanently overwritten. Fully anonymised data that can no longer be traced back to you (for example, aggregate spending benchmarks) is not personal data and may be retained.
Deletion is irreversible, so it's worth considering these first:
You can export your transaction history and account details in a structured, commonly used format (JSON or CSV) at any time from the app. Do this before you delete — once your account is gone, we cannot recover it for you.
If you just want to stop syncing, you can disconnect an individual bank account and withdraw that consent without deleting your Talvo account. We'll stop retrieving new transactions immediately and delete the linked bank data.
Cancel your Plus subscription before deleting your account so no further payments are taken. Cancelling is possible at any time and always includes a full data export.
You don't have to delete everything. If you'd like some of your data removed while keeping your account and the rest of your history intact, email us at help@gettalvo.com and we'll do it for you.
Send the request from the email address associated with your Talvo account — that's how we verify it's really you — and describe what you'd like removed. For example:
We'll confirm exactly what will be deleted before we touch anything, and let you know once it's done. Everything you didn't ask us to remove stays exactly as it is, and your account keeps working throughout. As with a full account deletion, removed data disappears from our production databases immediately and from encrypted backups within 30 days, and it cannot be restored afterwards.
Disconnecting a bank, deleting individual transactions or manual accounts, and removing budgets, categories and rules can all be done directly in the app — that's instant and doesn't need an email. Use help@gettalvo.com for anything the app doesn't let you remove, or for bulk requests you'd rather not do by hand.
If you can't log in, or you'd rather have us handle a full deletion for you, email help@gettalvo.com from the address associated with your account and we'll take care of it. For anything else, you can always reach us at info@gettalvo.com.
Deleting your account is one of your rights under the GDPR (the right to erasure, or "right to be forgotten"). You can read more about how we handle your data in our Privacy Policy.
